Canada Digital Gift Card Terms & Conditions
(For The Official Canada Shop of the PWHL)
Effective Date: November 18, 2025
1. Overview
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the purchase, loading and, and use of digital gift cards (“Digital Gift Cards” or “Cards”) issued by The Official Canada Shop of the PWHL (“we”, “our”, or “us”). Digital Gift Cards may be purchased via the Shopify Payments platform and paid for using a valid Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover card, or other payment methods we may support, in our sole discretion, such as accelerated checkout options which may include Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal, and Venmo.
2. Delivery & Redemption
Digital Gift Cards are delivered by email after payment is processed. The purchaser (“Cardholder”, “you”, or “your”) is responsible for providing a valid recipient email address. We are not responsible for failed, misdirected or blocked delivery caused by incorrect email information, the use of spam filters, firewalls or other email delivery or filtering technology. To help ensure successful delivery of a Digital Gift Card, we recommend modifying your email options so that emails related to Digital Gift Cards are not considered spam or junk mail.
Digital Gift Cards are redeemable online only at the Official Canada Shop of the PWHL. They cannot be used at physical events or stores. Multiple cards may be used per order. Cards cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be reloaded, except in certain situations involving returns or exchanges. Cards are not redeemable for cash, except where required at law.
3. Denomination
Digital Gift Cards purchased from The Official Canada Shop of the PWHL are denominated in Canadian dollars.
4. Purchase Limit
The maximum Card value is $500.
5. No Expiry or Fees
Digital Gift Cards do not expire and have no fees, in compliance with consumer protection laws across Canada.
6. Lost, Deleted, or Stolen Cards; Cards Used Without Authorization or Misused Cards
Treat your Digital Gift Card like cash. The value of any lost, deleted or stolen Cards, Cards used without authorization, or misused Cards will not be replaced or replenished. However, if you have proof of purchase, contact support@thepwhl.com, and we’ll do our best to assist. The value replaced will be equal to the remaining balance on the Card at the time of replacement.
7. Refunds
No refunds are permitted with respect to the purchase of Digital Gift Cards. If an item purchased with a Card is returned, the refund will be credited back to the same Card, if possible. Otherwise, a new Card will be issued for the refund amount.
8. Transferability
Digital Gift Cards are transferrable but cannot be resold or used for unauthorized promotions. Cards are not valid and will not be honoured if obtained from unauthorized sellers or resellers, including through internet auction sites. We may cancel a Card if we determine, in our sole discretion, that it has been obtained or is used fraudulently.
9. Privacy Notice
The collection, use, and disclosure of personal information in connection with Digital Gift Cards is governed by our Privacy Policy at https://shop.thepwhl.com/policies/privacy-policy. By purchasing, loading, or using a Card, you agree that we may collect, use, and disclose your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
10. Platform Disclosure
Digital Gift Cards are issued and managed by The Official Canada Shop of the PWHL. Shopify provides the e-commerce platform but is not a party to the issuance, redemption, or management of Digital Gift Cards.
11. Governing Law
For all Cardholders (excluding those residing in Quebec): You acknowledge and agree that the purchase, use, and redemption of this Card are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of the laws of any other jurisdiction. As applicable, you hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario in the City of Toronto in relation to all disputes arising from or related to these Terms, and any related matters.
THIS PROVISION APPLIES ONLY IF YOU RESIDE IN THE PROVINCE OF QUEBEC:
If you are a consumer residing in Quebec, the purchase, use and redemption of this Card are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein and your purchase, receipt, and/or redemption of a Card is subject to the laws of the province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms periodically. Updates apply prospectively and do not affect previously issued Cards unless required by law.
13. Severance
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable. If modification is not possible, the provision will be severed, and the remainder of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.
14. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
IF YOU ARE A QUEBEC RESIDENT, THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU.
THE OFFICIAL CANADA SHOP OF THE PWHL MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES, OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO DIGITAL GIFT CARDS, INCLUDING ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN THE EVENT THAT A GIFT CARD IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY SHALL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF SUCH DIGITAL GIFT CARD. CERTAIN PROVINCES AND TERRITORIES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS, EXCLUSIONS, OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND YOU MIGHT HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.

For information respecting the use of the Card or balance inquiries, contact support@thepwhl.com. Note that the balance you receive is an estimate only. In most cases, the balance is adjusted immediately when you make a purchase, but there may be occasions when the balance adjustment is delayed.

16. Language
You hereby acknowledge and confirm that: (i) a French version of these Terms was presented to you; (ii) you have read the French version of these Terms; and (iii) these Terms and all related documents have been drafted in the English language at your express request.
